Dance Party Fundraiser for the Ecuadorean Rainforest

FUNK FOR THE FOREST RAISES $1500 TO HELP SAVE THE LOS CEDROS RAINFOREST RESERVE

The Los Cedros Rainforest is one of the most biologically diverse and endemic habitats on Planet Earth. It consists of 17,000 acres of cloud forest in Northwestern Ecuador.

On July 29th Encounter Byron hosted a fundraiser  to help save the Los Cedros Reserve in Ecuador, a high biodiversity cloud forest under threat from illegal clearing and mining leases. It was an inspiring and successful evening, featuring a pop up cafe by True Nature Cuisine, two documentaries about the issue, and a packed house dance party with local Byron Bay DJs Sheik Yerbooty and The Vinyl Junkie. The event raised $1500 towards the cause.
